Long weekends are the absolute best, but even though I was very, very happy to have had one this past weekend, I’m pretty sure everyone can agree that they kind of mess up our routine, right?
By the time Tuesday rolled around I had so much work to catch up on that looking at my To-Do list kind of made me want to cry! Among other things, I had one day crammed tight with meetings and decided to use this day to try and wear my new snake print super high-waisted pencil skirt that I got as a gift from A.Brand. Since stature is not my forte, the skirt’s super high waist and tight fit is perfect for creating the illusion of a longer body, so shall we do this?
There was never any doubt that the skirt would be paired with a crop top – gotta take advantage of that waistline, right? I picked a beige one I love from American Apparel (that same one that my Boy thought was way too small to even qualify as clothes, remember? hahaha) and wore a creme lacy bra underneath, so that the lace showed. I loved the styling but thought the look is just way too flesh-toned. I nearly disappear! LOL
Since the only problem I had with this look was the excess of fleshiness (which in real life is NEVER a problem, but can’t say the same for fashion!) I just changed into the exact same top and bra, only in black. Much better!
I didn’t think the excess-of-flesh-tones-syndrome wouldn’t be a problem if I added some beige to the feet (for this I chose my Santa Lolla peep-toes), but once again it was all wrong. Let’s go with black, yea?
I changed into my textured black heels from Aldo because, you know, if I’m not mixing prints, I’m mixing textures! ?
And after all that talk about beiges, I picked out a beige bag. Go figure! hahaha! This one is from Urban Outfitters and since it’s so tiny and not convenient for long days out, I put the essentials in it and throw it into my Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag which literally never gets full!
I finished everything off with my vintage blue gemstone ring, Cartier ring that used to be my granpa’s, falange ring and earrings from ASOS, black leather bracelets from Juicy Couture and vintage Boucheron watch. Check out the details below:
